Minx's sire-, Peppy Chic Olena has proven himself as a leading son of Smart Chic Olena, who ranking #45 in the QHN 5 year Leading Reining Horse Sires and # 80 in the NRHA All Time Leading Sires standings, years after his last foal hit the ground.
On her bottom-side, Minx brings Million Dollar bloodlines to the table. Her dam, A Sailing Romance, is an own daughter of Topsail Cody, NRHA Million Dollar Sire, NRHA Hall of Fame and still #17 in the NRHA All Time Leading Sires standings. Minx is a half sister to A Bright Chic- 2004 NRHA Non Pro Futurity Champion and Whizter Chic LTE of $39,442 in 2008.
Minx was trained and shown as a 3 year old by Locke Duce- placing 2nd in
the 2nd go round of the 2007 Canadian Supreme Futurity. Unlike some aged
horses- this mare has been ridden consistently but has not been over shown.
Due to Janet's work commitments - she was only lightly shown in her 4 and 5
year old years and not shown in her 6 year old year. Minx has a staggering
stop, as she really devours the ground. All her reining
manoeuvres are solid. With her bloodlines she will also make a superb
addition to a broodmare band once she is retired from the show pen.
