Cali is an own daughter of the legendary Topsail Cody.  Topsail Cody is in the NRHA Hall of Fame and is an NRHA Million Dollar Sire.  When Topsail Cody was inducted into the NRHA Hall of Fame in 1996, he was the youngest horse to receive that honour. He also sired the Hall of Fame member and 5 Million Dollar Sire, Topsail Whiz. 

Topsail Cody remains one of the All Time Leading Reining Sires today, currently ranked #17.  He is consistently at the top of the list of all timing maternal reining sires as his daughters, including greats like Rest Stop, Caramel Coded and Mizzen Topsail, have proven themselves as exceptional broodmares.

Cali's bottom side goes back to the famous Wieskamp sire Skipper W. Her great grandsire, Skipper’s King was a performer and producer in his own right with 18 AQHA Halter Points, 4 AQHA Performance Points, AQHA Champion Off-spring, Top Ten World Show Offspring, Superior Halter and Superior Performance Offspring, ROM Halter and ROM Performance Offspring, Race Money-Earner and Race ROM Offspring.

Cali was a great minded reining horse with a monster stop.  She has passed on her trainability, her phenomenal stop and her pretty head to all of her offspring to date.  She has two foals of performance age, a Topsail Chic and Topsail Spook.  Both have gone to the reining show pen and been money earners.  Her 2008 and 2009 fillies are by Smart Spook. 

Cali is in foal to Cromed Out Mercedes, due in 2013.  Cromed Out Mercedes is the new stallion prospect for the man responsible for the Topsail Cody legacy, Bob Loomis.  Cromed Out Mercedes is a gorgeous, talented bay stallion and he brings 2 of the top five bloodline crosses for Topsail daughters to the mix; Custom Crome and Shining Spark.  He also brings broodmare power to the table.  His dam "Princess in Diamonds" is proving to be a formidable producer and was an NRHA Leading Dam in 2009.  Back to listings
