Description

Lulu is a own daughter of the reining phenomenon, Smart Spook. Smart Spook has set the reining world on fire and shown that he has both talent and longevity. He began his career with back to back NRHA Futurity and Derby wins in 2004/ 2005. He has since won 3 FEI gold medals. In December 2010, he returned to the show pen again as a 9 year old to take the Reserve Championship in the NRHA's $100,000.00 World Championship Shootout. With earnings now approaching $400,000.00, Spook is now the leading NRHA money earning of spring of Five Million Dollar Sire, Smart Chic Olena.

2010 Spook's second foal crop followed their sire's footsteps in the show pen. The Spooks distinguished themselves all year- including taking the Reserve Championship and 4th place in the NRHA Futurity. At the end of 2010, Spook's offspring earnings were approximately $350,000.00- with only 2 foal crops in the pen.

Lulu's dam brings her own superior pedigree to the table. A Sailing Romance (“Cali”) is an own daughter of the Million Dollar Sire, Topsail Cody. The Topsail Cody daughters have proven to be formidable producers - with Topsail Cody consistently ranked as one of the top all time maternal reining sires. Cali is no exception to that trend- both foals of show age went to the show pen and are money earners.

This Smart Spook/ A Sailing Romance cross is proving successful for a good minded, talented reiner. The full brother to this mare – Topsail Spook- had a successful futurity and 4 year old year. As a 5 year old he and his new owner have been winning everything in sight. Spooks Top Model- the 3 year old full sister to this filly – is a gorgeous, talented mare who has a great mind in the show pen and is headed towards a super non pro derby year.

Lulu has been in training since early in her 2 year old year. Locke and Deb Duce of Southline Quarterhorses are preparing Lulu for the 2013 futurities and she is doing great. This filly has a power house stop and is solid on all her other maneuvers. The video was taken early in her training with Locke and Deb- and she has only gotten better. We expect this athletic little mare to be a contender in the 2013 futurities.
