Britches meets the criteria you want in a great broodmare- great confirmation, great mind, a performer, a producer- and pretty to boot.  This talented mare is the result of Southline Quarterhorse's superior breeding program.  Britches is out of a half sister to the dam of the All Time Leading Canadian Supreme Dam- Candy War Pine, owned by Southline Quarterhorses.

Britches was trained and shown by Locke Duce.  Her LTE is almost $8000.00 from only two show seasons- and at a time when purses in Canada were very modest and generally  not NRHA earnings.  She was Open Futurity Champion in 1998 at the Okanagan Summer Slide, the Gold Rush Futurity, the WCRA Armstrong Futurity and the SRHA Moosejaw Futurity.  She then came back to win several derbies as a four year old and was retired to the Southline broodmare band.

Britches' first foal made it clear she was going to be a producer.  Judge My CD has had a successful career in the show pen and has his dam's remarkable mind.    3 of her 5 show age foals are money earning reiners.  All her babies have had her pretty head.

Britches is a daughter of Peppy San Badger's son- Got Pep.  Got Pep has incredible longevity as a performance horse- at age 18 he is still be used in competition.  Got Pep distinguished himself in the Canadian cutting industry. His LTE was $41,000.00- in 1995 he was the CCHA Derby Champion in both the Open and the Non-Pro.  In 1996 he was Reserve Champion at the Calgary Stampede- again in both the Open and the Non-Pro. He is a successful sire with 92% of his offspring in the show pen being money earners.

Saddle Creek Ranch is proud to own 3 of Britches' foals- Judge My CD ( 2000 gelding); Ima Sweet Clipper (2008 filly) and Booster Juice (2009 gelding).

Britches is in foal to Smart Like Juice  for a 2013.
