Saddle Creek Ranch: Caring for the Performance Horse

Our facility is located east of Highway 21 on Wye Road.  We offer the tranquility of the country, minutes away from Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Our boarding services are ideal for the serious horse person and their performance horse. The facility offers a quiet, semi-private atmosphere. You will not have to work around a lesson schedule to get arena time on your horse.

Our indoor heated arena is 70' x 170', with excellent footing- particularly for reining, dressage and other flat work. Our outdoor arena is 110' x 200',  and is maintained and frequently groomed throughout the summer months.  The facility has beautiful riding trails to work or ride your horse on.

Our barn manager Megan Lawrence, monitors each horse’s feed program to ensure they are in peak condition. We also offer grooming and exercise packages for times when a busy work schedule or vacation makes it challenging to maintain your horse’s fitness level.

Saddle Creek Horses: Breeding for Performance

Our breeding program is also focused on performance. We breed and raise performance quarterhorses, specializing in reining horses. We breed to top reining stallions south of the border and quality local sires that are enrolled in the Reining Alberta Sire and Dam or Canadian Supreme programs.

About Us: Saddle Creek's Owners

Saddle Creek Ranch is owned and operated by Vic Bennett and Janet Hutchison.  Vic Bennett is a well known name in the horse industry as the artistic and business mind behind Vic Bennett Saddles.  Janet Hutchison is a partner in the law firm, Chamberlain Hutchison.  Vic and Janet met through reining and continue to enjoy riding and showing their horses together.
